Welcome to
the Civil-Military interaction (CMi) website

This website is an initiative of the Civil-Military Co-operation Centre of Excellence (CCOE). The CCOE tries to assist military and civil organizations/institutions in their operational and transformation efforts in the field of civil-military relations.

We believe that a fruitful interaction between civil and military actors demands a space where all players can find each other, share their experiences, and discuss practices. It is from this point of view that we started this virtual platform in order to bring together stakeholders from both the civil and military domain.

This website will ideally act as a bridge builder spanning all aspects of the civil-military domain and stimulating a balanced dialogue in an open, transparent, and constructive environment. Our aim is to share knowledge and create lasting networks of meaningful contacts in order to recognize opportunities and face challenges that might lie ahead. Hopefully this virtual interface will produce a lasting knowledge base, enhance mutual understanding, and support the physical interface.

With the contribution of you, the stakeholders, we can improve future co-operation and possibly start with the development of training, education, and exercises in order to better align the various activities within the civil-military domain. This website is also intended as a tool to help in establishing and support a physical platform. We kindly invite all those interested to make use of the library by searching for relevant or to help expanding it and to join the forum and bring their subject into discussion.
